The B2 Team is engaged to produce a full design and documentation service for a new 114 bed facility, with a combination of dementia / high care / low care / extra service components. The overall scheme was to roll out the first national design schemes developed by B2 Property Solutions for this facility, that being the 'Hinterland design scheme'. The services provided were concept design, design review and development, tendering documentation, construction documentation, project management review of interiors scheme, custom joinery design and documentation, furniture and fittings specification and pricing procurement. This also includes on site visual merchandising and placement of goods on site, with review and inspection for defects claims, on site review of design defects.

The specific Extra Service component of this project was to develop a distinctive design approach to the overall feel and look of this area, compared to the rest of the facility. With this in mind the consideration also had to be made for tonal contrasts, non-intrusive / low glare lighting, and ease of use within the common areas of this physical environment for the residents. Desitination areas were developed to not only achieve the 'home' atmosphere, but also give interest and options for the residents to explore and have choice.

 

Project currently due for completion in July 2011.
